Watch our first Youtube 'How To Guide' which explains how to fit a Noisekillers sound deadening and soundproofing under bonnet kit.
Engine noise can be a real distraction, but an under-bonnet soundproofing kit from Noisekillers makes for a quieter and more comfortable drive. Here’s a simple guide to installing the kit yourself.
Step 1: Clean the Bonnet
First, open the bonnet and clean the area thoroughly with white spirit to ensure proper adhesion. If your vehicle has a factory-fitted felt cover, you might need to remove it by unclipping any plastic fasteners.
Step 2: Positioning the Soundproofing Material
Noisekillers hand-cuts each Vibrasorb soundproofing piece to match over 600 vehicle models. This means there’s no need to template or cut material yourself. Simply match each piece to its designated place under the bonnet.
Step 3: Applying the Material
With everything positioned, peel off the backing and stick each piece down firmly. Since the adhesive is strong, double-check alignment before pressing. A roller can help ensure the material adheres firmly, and for larger sections, peel back the adhesive gradually to keep it aligned.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Once every section is applied, ensure all edges are secure. With that, your installation is complete, and you’re ready to enjoy reduced engine noise!
This easy-to-install kit is a great upgrade for any vehicle, providing an efficient way to reduce noise and enhance comfort on every drive.
