September is shaping up to be a busy one at Noisekillers.

Defender Theft: A Growing Concern

Unfortunately, there’s another Land Rover-related subject that’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

Vehicle theft is a serious problem, and Defenders remain particularly desirable targets.

For many owners, their Defender isn’t simply another vehicle. Values have increased considerably over the years, and the combination of desirability, parts value and relatively basic factory security on older vehicles can make them attractive to thieves.

That’s why we’ve been seeing increasing interest in simple, highly visible physical security.

One of the products we supply is the Clutch Claw pedal lock.

Rather than relying solely on electronic security, the Clutch Claw physically locks the vehicle’s pedals together, creating another substantial obstacle for anyone attempting to take the vehicle.

It’s also immediately visible when looking into the vehicle — an important deterrent before somebody even attempts to get any further.

There’s no single product that can guarantee a vehicle won’t be stolen, but adding layers of security can make your Defender a considerably less appealing target.

More Going On Behind the Scenes

It’s also been a busy few months back at Noisekillers.

Alongside producing and sending out our existing soundproofing kits, we’ve continued working on new products, improving our manufacturing processes and developing the range.

A huge amount of what we do happens behind the scenes — cutting materials, developing templates, packing kits, working on customer vehicles and finding ways of making our products easier to manufacture and fit.

We’re going to be showing much more of that side of the business over the coming months.
