Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, undamaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at dan@noisekillers.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer require the item, please organise the return online with a carrier company.

Vehicle Acoustic Blankets
Our engine soundproofing blankets are designed to dramatically reduce engine noise and vibrations, providing a quieter and more comfortable driving experience. Each blanket features a dense sheet of sound-blocking lead sandwiched between two layers of Class “O” fire-rated acoustic foam, all encased in a durable, high heat-resistant Fortaglas fabric.
How It Works
- Sound Blocking and Absorption: The inner lead layer effectively blocks engine noise, while the surrounding foam absorbs airborne sound, minimising clatter and preventing noise from entering the cab area.
- Durability Built In: These blankets are designed to withstand tough conditions, being waterproof, fireproof, and resistant to oil and grease. The bound and sealed edges ensure longevity, and brass eyelets allow for easy and secure installation.
Available Sizes to Fit Any Engine
We offer three standard sizes that accommodate most engine types. However, if you need a custom size or shape, we can create a tailor-made blanket based on your specifications.
- Small (500 x 500 mm): Ideal for motorhome engines and transverse car engines.
- Medium (750 x 500 mm): Suitable for in-line car engines, as well as VW T5, VW T6, and all Mercedes vans.
- Large (925 x 500 mm): Perfect for Land Rover engines, including 200 TDI, 300 TDI, TD5, and TD4. The TD4 blankets also feature an essential cut-out for optimal fit.
For truly unique applications, we can manufacture custom-designed blankets with cut-outs, slots, or any other modifications required. Just provide us with a template or bring the vehicle to our workshop, and we'll handle the rest.

At 110 km/h on a flat road, I have to pass on neutral to figure that I was hearing the engine.
The car ils fully alubutyl treated. Specific in the engine bay : air admission collector, hood and plastic engine cover was already treated.

Dan was incredibly helpful when I was deciding which way to go with my engine blankets, I opted to go for custom made shapes to really fit perfectly around my engine and ancillaries and they turned out fantastic.
I sent the designs to Dan and he made these bespoke shapes same day, shipped the next and I had them fitted the day after, superb service and highly recommend.
Just to let you know that the medium size engine blanket I have fitted to my 2004 Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 diesel has made a big difference to cabin noise, especially at cruising speeds. The blanket feels a well made quality item, and it took less than 10 minutes to fit.
As mentioned in your instructions I have pushed as much of the blanket as possible between the engine and bulk head, being careful to avoid turbo/ exhaust components, and this has helped to reduce to injector clatter considerably.
I have no problem in recommending this product for anyone with a rather vocal diesel engined vehicle!
